Who we are
This website is operated by TRAVELPOP LTD ("we", "us"), a company registered in England & Wales (company no. 13286996), registered office 71-75 Shelton Street, London, Greater London, United Kingdom, WC2H 9JQ. We are the data controller for personal data collected through this website. You can contact us at travelpop.uk@gmail.com.
What we collect
- Contact details you send us — when you email us via a "Book a demo" or contact link, we receive your email address and anything you include in your message.
- Technical logs — our hosting provider records standard server access logs (e.g. IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and operation.
This site does not use analytics or advertising trackers and sets no non-essential cookies.
Why we use it (lawful basis)
- To respond to your enquiry and provide a demo — legitimate interests / steps prior to entering a contract.
- To keep the site secure and operational — legitimate interests.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry emails only as long as needed to deal with your request and for a reasonable follow-up period — normally up to 24 months after our last contact with you, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. Server access logs are kept for a short period for security and troubleshooting — typically up to 90 days.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers to run this website and handle our email, including our hosting provider (Microsoft Azure) and our email provider (Google, via Gmail). These providers act on our instructions under appropriate contracts. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for advertising.
Where your data is processed (international transfers)
Some of our providers may process personal data outside the United Kingdom. Where that happens, we rely on safeguards recognised under UK data protection law — such as a UK "adequacy" decision for the destination country, or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement / the EU Standard Contractual Clauses with the UK Addendum — so that your data remains protected.
How we protect your data
This site is served over a secure (HTTPS) connection. We limit access to enquiry emails to those who need it, and we rely on the security controls of reputable providers (Microsoft Azure and Google) to store and transmit data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
If a personal data breach occurs that is likely to result in a risk to your rights and freedoms, we will report it to the Information Commissioner's Office within 72 hours where required, and will tell you without undue delay if the breach is likely to result in a high risk to you.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to be informed about how we use your data, and to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, and to data portability. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. To exercise any right, email travelpop.uk@gmail.com; we will respond within one month, though we may extend this by up to two further months for complex requests and will let you know if we do. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Automated decision-making
We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing, and we do not carry out profiling.
Children
This website is aimed at travel-industry businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time; the "last updated" date above shows the latest version.
